Check Out What Our Customers Say About Our Organic Mandarin Oranges
Dear Steve and June, I have so many “Thank you” notes from all my family for the delicious mandarins oranges sent from your orchard. They have all expressed how much they appreciate the new packaging this year and how it made quite a difference! (No damaged fruit) They all love the mandarins and tell me they cannot find this quality and taste in their area. You are truly a wonderful family that cares about your customers in a special way. Thank you so much!
Every year I buy for my family many pounds of Organic Satsuma’s right after Thanksgiving. This is the first time I tried S & J Mandarins. I ordered three boxes delivered to three addresses. My family was ecstatic. My son texted a picture calling them “Heaven in a Box” and my daughter devoured her whole box in just a few days!! They arrived promptly and were delicious! Thank you!
My mom and I wanted to thank you and your family farm for the mandarins. This is our second year buying mandarins from your farm and it is just as good as the first year. My mom and I both thoroughly enjoyed your mandarins. They are the best mandarins we ever had. The mandarins from your farm are better than the mandarins they sell in the store and supermarkets here on the east coast. Even the organic stores here don’t sell fresh and organic mandarins like your family farm sells. My mom and I are both excited about buying mandarins from you next season. I hope your family and the mandarin trees have a good year and growing season.

Thank you for the prompt delivery! They are a huge organic delight in this frigid, white part of the country and are a wonderful addition for Christmas. We dove right in when they arrived. Fortunately, we collected them as soon as they were delivered to protect them from the 10 degrees temp at noon. They were sweet and delicious as expected
I received my shipment today, and could not have been more pleased! Thank you for shipping them so quickly! My family didn’t eat a lot of fresh produce when I was a child because we lived in Alaska. When we lived in Juneau, my Dad would go down to the docks at Christmas time and splurge on a case of the most delicious oranges and my brothers would tear through them. These oranges completely recreated the experience! I planned on giving them as a gift to my family, but I couldn’t wait even one day to share! Thank you – I am a customer for life! Merry Christmas.
I received the mandarin oranges from your grove. They were WONDERFUL! They were sweet and juicy and easy to peel. How long is their season? I would like to order more. Very Pleased and Happy!
Today at the market I was lucky enough to be the purchaser of your last bag of mandarins, and they’re terrific! Maybe I’ve just been deprived of citrus since the last season, but yours are the most flavorful tangerines I can ever recall having in my life. I’m definitely going to have a struggle making sure they last through the week. I’m very thankful for your devotion to growing organically; I hope that one day the majority of the rest of the Sunday market will follow in your direction. Thank you, and I’ll see you next week!
As long time supporters of “Placer Grown,” we applaud your business and love your website and commitment to customer service….not mention the fruit!
Hi! My Name is Sumiko Maeda. I found your site today, and I’d like one box of Satsuma orange. When I eat Satsuma Orange, I really miss my country, Japan!
Hi. I recently ordered several boxes of mandarins to be sent to various places. Below is an excerpt of emails I received from my sister-in-law and brother-in-law that I thought you would enjoy reading. It’s really great when a gift makes a special connection!
Many thanks to those at S and J for providing such a welcomed gift!
First, from my sister-in-law: Believe it or not, you made Malcolm very happy with your choice. He has fond memories from his childhood of eating what he thought were seedless tangerines from a tree in his grandparents’ yard. I have heard the story many times (as you may imagine), and he always ends it by saying he has never again been able to find seedless tangerines — or tangerines of any kind that tasted so good. Of course the punchline to this story is that as soon as he tried one of the oranges you sent, he realized that he must have been eating mandarin oranges all those years. He was delighted to get the answer to his puzzle — and very nostalgic to recover one of the tastes of his youth.
Now from my brother-in-law: These Mandarin oranges are the best Christmas present I’ve received in a very, very long time. There probably hasn’t been a month gone by when I wondered if I’d ever get to enjoy another “seedless tangerine” in my lifetime. Thirty-five years is a long time to wait. Had often thought of what a fool I was not to go back to my grandparents’ old house and get a graft from what I was beginning to think was a one-of-a-kind tree. In fact, I tried fifteen years ago but couldn’t find the house. Besides the nostalgia factor, they are my all-time favorite citrus. It was funny. Seeing the open box, I asked Laurie “They’re not seedless are they?” and she said yes, as soon as I started peeling one I knew my decades long quest was over. A great moment for me. Thanks ever so much.
